Service Time & Location
Until further notice, we will holding services in-person and online from Destiny Church in Des Peres on Sundays at 5PM. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to meet again in-person and look forward to seeing your smiling (masked) face soon.
If you prefer to continue worshipping online with us, click here for the links you'll need.
Do I have to wear a mask?
Yes (if you are over age 5). For the health and safety of all of our attenders, staff, and volunteers, and in accordance with guidance from local authorities, masks must must be worn by anyone over the age of five for the duration of the time you're in the building. If you prefer not to wear a mask, we encourage you to worship with us online.
Will Redemption Kids be open?
At this time our families will all worship together in the auditorium. We will have special bags for Redemption Kids families to help children engage with the service, as well as specific Redemption Kids content during the service. Before the service, we'll be gathering outdoors for Redemption Kids Parking Lot Party at 4:00pm. We will have lawn games and crafts for the kids. Feel free to bring a picnic dinner, camping chairs, picnic blankets etc. At 5:00 we will head inside for church. Kids will receive an activity bag for the service. For the wigglers who can't make it through the service, there is a large lobby with TVs where they can wiggle and you can watch.
Will you have communion? Coffee?
We will have individually-packaged communion "kits" available. For health and safety reasons we will not be offering coffee (which makes us sad, too). We hope that by 5pm you can fill yourself with enough caffeine to make it through the service. Please do not bring drinks to service with you unless necessary. It's pretty hard to drink through a mask.
What precautions are you taking?
To allow for proper social distancing, rows are distanced 6 feet apart. We ask that you leave two seats between yourself and those outside your party. Again, please keep your mask on at all times inside the building (unless you are under 5 years old - and props for reading this if you are under 5 ).
We will be cleaning the building before and after services and disinfecting high-touch areas often. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building. Forgot your mask at home? We got you! We'll have plenty of extra everything.
We have a shiny new check-in process when you arrive at the building that helps us to help you determine if you are in a good position to attend our services. What does that mean? Answering "no" to the following questions and having your mask on means you are good to go.
Are you showing any flu-like symptoms?
Have you had a fever of 100.4 or higher in the past two weeks?
Have you had prolonged exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
Are you awaiting test results for COVID-19?
Is there any medical reason why you should avoid large groups during this time?
I've never actually been to an in-person service at Redemption. What can I expect?
We are so glad you're reading this and considering attending in-person. We want to make your first visit as simple and comfortable as possible. People usually want answers to these questions:
How long is a Redemption service?
In total, a Redemption service is about 60 minutes in length. Our service begins with our band leading the church in music. We'll project song lyrics on the screens so you can sing along, but feel free to engage however you feel most comfortable. After the music is complete (usually 2-3 songs), our speaker will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message.
What should I wear? What's the vibe?
The vibe at Redemption, in 3 words, is exciting, comfortable, and welcoming. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest. You can wear a suit if you'd like, but we probably won't. Our lead pastor is usually in jeans and a casual shirt.
What about my kids?
See above! We normally host an awesome, engaging, fun experience for your kids during our service called Redemption Kids. In this phase of re-opening, we're going to enjoy the service together as a church family. That means we'll probably have a fair share of fidgeting, moving around, and whispering. We're okay with that. Everybody is welcome.
Where do I park?
When you pull up to Destiny Church, you'll be greeted by our smiling (under masks) parking crew who will direct you exactly where to go. From there, head to the clearly marked front doors and we'll get you where you need to be.
YOU are the magic-maker at Redemption. Every week (especially when we meet in-person) we rely on amazing volunteers to ensure that everyone has a safe, comfortable, and FUN experience at church. No matter your gifting or skill set, you are needed. Click here to put your hands to work.
